About Dr. Kevin Grant
Dr. Kevin Grant is the Operations Manager at the Academy of Sport, University of the West Indies, Cave Hill campus. Before working at the University of the West Indies, he worked at Ernst & Young as a senior auditor.
Dr. Grant completed his Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Phoenix in 2008. He was then enrolled in the University of Wales, where he completed his Master of Business Administration in 2011. Dr. Grant joined the University of the West Indies in 2013 with a focus of becoming a Professor in the field of management and leadership. As Operations Manager, he is responsible for strategic planning and the development of effective systems and processes within the Academy of Sport. Dr. Grant is always keen on self-development and in sharing knowledge and expertise with his peers. To further develop his skills, he enrolled as a student at Walden University and completed his Doctorate of Business Administration in 2019. As Alumni of Walden University, Dr. Grant sits as a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, offering expertise in management and leadership strategies to various organizations.
Dr. Grant has published six chapters and four E-Books on leadership concepts. The latest being The Effect of Ethical Leadership on Employee Engagement: A Moral Approach to Management (2023). He received #1 Best seller and #1 International best seller for his chapters published in the Refractive Thinker series. Amid his busy work schedule Dr. Grant still finds time for his hobby, recreational shooting. He has been involved in recreational shooting for more than 10 years and is the Regional Director of the International Practical Shooting Confederation of Barbados. He has and continues to represent
Barbados in shooting competitions and has competed in regions such as Jamaica, Trinidad, France, Suriname and Ecuador.
